Tintype is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Top left corner is clipped. Self-assured fireman, probably the chief since he is wearing number one on his shirt. Some light tinting on the image. Light creasing that is no problem in viewing and no image loss. Scratch on left side of image below hand. The belt buckle has " N & L " on it. Should mean something to somepeople.
